Three weeks before his birth Matthew’s mother had an extremely severe electric shock. (Many psychics are thought to be triggered off by a traumatic physical experience).
Born 17th August 1955, a normal healthy intelligent boy, the Mannings’ lived in a modern open-planned house with floor to ceiling windows.
On 18th February 1967 when Matthew was 11 the poltergeist activity that came to be associated with him began.
During one severe attack all the chairs in the dining and sitting room were laid together. Suspicious that is was Matthew’s own doing was increased when things started to move around him in other people’s houses.
In 1968 the Mannings’ moved to an old house in the village of Linton, Cambridgeshire, England, built 1550. There were a few odd happenings at first but nothing too disturbing. Then in 1970 Matthews’s bedroom became the focus of paranormal activity. Footsteps, raps, doors opening, books hurled around, cushions flew around the room. His bed shook violently and rose from the floor. There were various electrical problems and objects appeared from nowhere. Childish scribbles materialized on the walls in pencil.
Matthew even had poltergeist outbreaks at school: chairs and heavy bunk beds in the dormitory were moved around. There were reports of broken glass, nails and pebbles, pools of water materialized, and odd lights appeared on the walls.
The headmaster almost expelled Matthew twice. At school Matthew had an out-of-body experience where he astrally projected himself into his home. His mother felt his presence, and he saw the inside of his house.
Soon after came automatic writing, automatic drawing and metal bending. He decided to channel this power and become a full-time healer, and has helped thousands of people with their health problems.
