This is why a change in Consciousness has an effect in what appears to be the world ‘out here’. This is why spiritual healing works. When someone presents a problem to you whether it’s a relative, a friend, a student, an acquaintance or someone just walking down the street, that problem is being presented to your Consciousness for acceptance or rejection. And if we do not pay attention, of we are not alert then that problem can find entrance and appear in the life around us - in our life. But it cannot take root if we meet it the moment we see it; the moment we become aware of it.

You and I as the life of God, as the being of God, we are a law unto our world because we are a law unto our Consciousness. And we need to begin to look at it in this way. “I live and move and have my being in my own Consciousness.” Everything that I see taking place is being presented to my Consciousness. If I have a conscious awareness of the presence of God and only the presence of God, that is what I will demonstrate in my life. If I have the belief in ‘two’, that is the belief in God and this other, then that is what I will see taking place in my life.

And so the issues of life, every single one of them, are settled within in our Consciousness. And this is where I must entertain the truth of being or entertain a false concept of life. It is up to me and it is up to you.

In the beginning God gave us dominion and that’s not a dominion that we exercise by going out here and trying to change someone or trying to change some thing. No, the dominion that God gave us is within us, within our Consciousness. We must make it a practice to have the truth of being dwelling within us.

Christ tells us, remember now that Christ is not a person and Christ wasn't a person, Christ is the presence of God within us - now. Christ is the presence of God ever available. Christ is that Spirit that surrounds us now and flows in and through us. Christ is that Presence which can never die; the Comforter who has come to teach us all things; really, the comforter that has come to lift us up into the conscious awareness of Christ, because Christ is what we are. And so Christ that Presence, that Comforter, your Real Identity says to you, “Abide in Me and let Me abide in you, so shall you bare much fruit.” That means when we dwell in the truth and have the truth dwelling in us, it appears, it demonstrates as the life that we are living. But it is up to you and to me to have that truth abiding in us.
